Our Constitutional Rights

We, the people, retain rights not listed — and among them is the right to build, to belong, and to thrive. The 9th Amendment affirms it: "Rights not listed belong to the people." The 14th Amendment demands it: "Equal protection under the law." Housing justice is not a privilege — it is a retained right.

• Affordable Housing: Affordable housing is essential for stable communities and economic opportunity. It means creating safe, decent homes that are within reach for working families, seniors, and people with low incomes. We fight to end exclusionary zoning practices that limit housing supply and drive-up costs, and to promote policies that increase access to affordable, quality homes for all.
